Jorge SOTERAS (1917-1990) :
Born in Spain in Barcelona in 1917, Soteras joined the Republican army from 1936 to 1939. He then settled in France. In 1959 he became a member of the group of Catalan painters Art Nostre, with Clavé, Grau Sala, Salès and others. Not only painter, he was also an illustrator, for instance Le Romancero Gitano by Federico Garcia Lorca (1947), L'Inferno by Dante (1952), Les chants de Maldoror by Lautréamont (1953).
